Buffalo Check Halloween Tablescape

Halloween is right around the corner so it's time to set the table for some frightful dining - well, maybe besides my cooking! :)  This year, I incorporated black and white buffalo check and am enjoying how this versatile pattern adds a drama all its own to this spooky tablescape.

The centerpiece was created using this large white ceramic pumpkin I've had for quite a few years.

A large spider was added to the top.

He's quite a creepy guy...

...and he's woven a very spooky web around the table.

Next to the pumpkin centerpiece, birch logs hold a variety of Halloween decor items.

The scene is illuminated with this bat candleholder...

...and this black lantern.

Vermin scurry to hide from the light.

The place settings were done in black and white as well.

These tree plates are actually Christmas themed but don't you think they work equally well for this occasion?
(Real Canadian Superstore a couple years ago)

This is how they look dressed up for Christmas.

Back to Halloween..black & white buffalo check napkins coordinate with the tablecloth.

This hairy critter wants to see what's for dinner.

A black rose in a milk glass vase sits beside black stemware.

Sparkly orange pumpkins serve as placecard holders.

These were from Dollarama this year.

Not sure what will be served but it will be fun sitting down to eat at this table over the next few days.

Wishing you a
Happy Halloween!
