Bees are so cute and so essential! They deserve to be celebrated! With that in mind, I designed this little bee themed table for two which would be perfect for a breakfast or luncheon.
This mustard yellow coloured tablecloth was a recent purchase on Amazon and provided the ideal backdrop to the table decor.
I also got this Bee Happy pitcher (Primitives by Kathy) on Amazon. With the addition of a few faux florals, it became my centerpiece.
The place settings were done in black, yellow and white.
I made these mini beehives by hot-gluing twine to plastic Easter eggs. They made the perfect little accents for the place settings.
A watering can napkin ring holds both a yellow and a buffalo check napkin as well as a white faux flower with a little bee.
These bees are actually buttons I got online from Walmart.
This is the matching place setting on the other side of the table.
I made these bee placecards using Clipart on my computer.
Black handled flatware was tucked alongside the dish stack.
Black and white buffalo check mugs await some morning coffee or afternoon tea.
Because the table was against our front windows, I also created a side-piece.
This included a black lantern on a riser with two coordinating faux floral arrangements on each side.
I placed a faux candle and some greenery inside the lantern and set it on a yellow napkin.
The faux florals were placed in these burlap pots with a bee design on the front.
The round woven placemats provide texture to the table and coordinate with the burlap vases.
This was a fun tablescape to put together using the bee theme and the contrasting yellow and black colours.
Have things relaxed a bit in your area so that you might be able to have a small get-together in your home?
If so, perhaps you'll be inspired to invite a friend over for a meal and use a cheery bee theme for the decor.
Above all, I hope you'll bee happy!
Thanks for visiting!
I'll be linking this post to these wonderful blog parties:

ReplyDeleteThank you so much! You can use pretty much any size of the plastic Easter eggs (just the top half) but maybe use thicker twine for the bigger ones. I used what I would call a "medium" sized one. You can get some ideas on Pinterest too. Hope that helps!
