With that in mind, I designed a tablescape to celebrate the season and help get us over any winter blues we might be feeling around now.
For the centerpiece, I used four of these glass vase/candleholders that I've had for ages.
I inserted a glass container (formerly a B&BW jar candle that I recycled) into each vase and placed decorative snowflakes between the two sides.
A snowflake shaped floating candle completes the look.
The vases were lined up down the middle of the table and in between, I added more snowflakes and some string lights.
You can see a close-up here...
...and here.
I used a soft blue coloured tablecloth with a blue/gray plaid table runner.
The place settings were put together with blue and white dishes, a gray placemat and silver charger.
An acrylic snowflake napkin ring fits the theme perfectly.
Both red and white wine glasses at each place setting create an icy feel to the winter tablescape.
I like using repetitive centerpieces as all the guests get a similar view.
I also love the look of a row of multiple place settings. There is just something about the orderliness of it...
...and the fact that it signals a dinner party is about to begin...
...which is a good way to chase away those winter blues.
Thanks for visiting!

Lori, your table is lovely - I love the blue theme with the snowflakes. Still though, spring cannot come soon enough for me. I am hoping for a moderate February with fingers crossed...
ReplyDeleteLori, this is a delightful snowscape! I imagine it would look particularly lovely in the evening with the candles lit and the string lights twinkling. I can only dream of snow here north of Atlanta, but we managed a few scattered flakes two days ago.
ReplyDeleteLove this tqablescape! Those white bowls are wonderful!
