If you've been following me here and on Instagram, you'll know I'm on a lemon-theme kick right now and I've been adding lots of the faux variety to different areas of my spring decor. The pop of yellow is so cheery and it is just what we need while we are stuck at home due to the pandemic.
Here's a look at a set up that might provide some inspiration on how to add lemons to a spring or summer drink/snack station which you could set up inside or outdoors.
For a tablecloth, I used this green and white striped turkish towel I found at a dollar store last year.
A couple of small lemon patterned bowls from HomeSense last summer were the inspiration for this vignette.
I scattered faux lemons throughout and made these faux slices (Amazon a couple months ago) look like they've been freshly cut to give you a feel for what you could do with the real thing.
The flatware and cloth napkins were tucked inside a small basket.
Lemons are indeed pretty "zesty"...
...and this little sign (Pharmasave gift section) added the perfect touch to my display.
A large farmhouse styled vase of faux forsythia and small pots of faux greenery created a colourful backdrop.
This Rae Dunn pitcher stands ready for perhaps, the addition of some refreshing homemade lemonade.
To create a spring/summer vibe, taking center-stage in the drink and snacks set up, is a white birdcage.
I elevated it on a wood riser and added bits of forsythia twigs with greenery and of course, a lemon!
With the cage door open, this little birdie is glad he can join the party.
Whether you are still on "stay at home" orders or are allowed to venture out a bit...
...I hope you continue to find a "zest for life" and...
...adding lemons to your decor is a great start!
Even if it is just for those of you sharing the same roof, decorating a drink/snack station with some of their sunny yellow might add some cheer to the situation.
I hope I've provided a bit of inspiration on how to incorporate the lemon-yellow, now you just have to come up with the snacks and drinks! :)
Thanks for visiting!
