Although I'm always a bit sad to see Christmas décor packed away for another year, I also look forward to decorating for winter. It is easy to think of this season as long and dreary but if you look for the beauty in it, you are bound to embrace it a bit more.
Recent snowfalls in our area have made a winter wonderland to enjoy.
No, winter wonderlands aren't just for Christmas-time pleasure, they are meant to be fun for the whole season!
But if you'd rather stay inside and not venture outdoors to savour winter's wonders, perhaps you'd like to take a look back at some of the winter décor I've created in our home over the years.
Grab a cup of something warm and cuddle up with an extra soft throw blanket while you peruse this random selection of my winter décor pics.
There will be no narration so you can just relax and reflect on the joys of winter. :)
Hope you enjoyed that little
winter walk down memory lane.
Right now, I'm still working on this year's winter décor and I hope you will check back soon to see it.
Thanks for visiting!

I always think the house looks so bare after the Christmas decoration go away too. This is a perfect solution !!! We don't get a lot of snow in the Portland, Oregon area but it would be really fun to have snow inside (and not have to shovel it LOL)!!!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.
ReplyDeleteLovely! I always like to have a little sparkle around during the winter months too. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
I completely agree! I, too, decorate with all white in January. Love your snowflake glasses, and all your white snowflake accents.
ReplyDeleteLori,
ReplyDeletelove your winter décor, what a beautiful way to chase away the winter blues and the let down after the Christmas decorations are put away! I've enjoyed browsing thru your posts, they are all gorgeous, love your style! Thanks for stopping by, your comment about the PJs was spot on, whish I'd thought of that! May go back and add some! I'm your newest follower and will be back!

Gorgeous winter decor, Lori! Your home looks amazing. Have a great weekend. xxx Maria
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your winter wonderland of home on My Romantic Home. I love that it's ice and snow. My house is decorated in white, blue and silver. I love the snow, frost, sky, water, and ice like colors together.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love! Your attention to detail is amazing...it looks warm and cozy yet cool and wintry at the same time...
ReplyDeleteYour decorating always inspires me. I too believe that winter decorating can be fun and a way to help ease into January after the colorful festive decorating of December. I have been putting up my snowmen for many years now in January and have almost as much snow decorations as I do Christmas decorations (which is a lot!). Since I live in North Carolina, I don't have the beauty of fresh snow outside very often, but inside I have a winter wonderland!
ReplyDeleteLoved the pictures of different ways you've incorporated winter into your decorating scheme. I was inspired the basket you had at the fireplace in one of your posts and created one for my Christmas decorating with a few birch branches.
ReplyDeleteHi Lori, great winter wonders you are using in your decor. I love snowflakes. I saw some snowflakes embroidered on napkins for a winter tablescape and so want some. I have a friend who has an embroidery machine so I hope I can get her to do some for me. So much inspiration, you have inspired me.
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine what it would look like to have that much snow in my yard. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteFirst visit to your blog. Nice pictures and interesting posts!
Love white so love your winter decorating. Thank you so much.
