Winter Tea Time

Being someone who loves winter, I really wanted to participate in Cuisine Kathleen's Snow/Winter Table Challenge but I've been out of commision lately due to a sore back and wasn't up to doing a full scale tablescape to fit the theme.

Then I came up with the idea of a Winter Tea Time on a tray.  I hope Kathleen will approve and let me join in her party!

My "backdrop centerpiece" for this tea tray consists of 3 apothecary jars filled with faux snow and pine cones.

A closer look inside one.

A winter-white birdie sits beside some snowflake mugs.

I love the snowflake pattern on the mugs. My grandmother recently gave them to me when she down-sized to move to a care home.  They will always be very special to me.

Would you care to sit and have a cup of hot tea with me on this winter's eve?

Of course, if you prefer, I also have another form of refreshment on the sideboard.

These wine glasses were a Christmas gift from Mr. Delight.
The snowflake design is perfect for our apres ski get-togethers.

This snowflake wine stopper was a gift a few years back from my sister-in-law and fits the theme perfectly!

So which do you prefer on a cold winter's night, a hot cup of tea or a relaxing glass of wine?

Thanks for visiting!
Be sure to head over to Cuisine Kathleen's for her Snow/Winter Table Challenge Party - maybe grab a cup of tea or a glass of wine on the way!
