Do you prefer to stay home or go out to a restaurant for your Valentine's Day celebration?
We often like to enjoy the best of both worlds by staying home and ordering take-out. Of course, I love to create a nice table for us to dine at.
With the snowy scene outside, I thought a cozy table for two by our front windows would be the perfect setting.
The place settings began with a duo of heart-shaped plates. These were set atop a pink & white checked napkin, white dinner plate and pink charger.
I used my red-handled flatware for the occasion.
Hobnail glasses were the stemware of choice.
For the centerpiece, I rounded up all my DIY yarn hearts and placed them, along with some faux roses, on some frosty faux greenery down the center of the table.
For the "side-piece", two metal houses were embellished with heart stickers and placed atop candleholders.
Stemmed glass votive holders were nestled in amidst the hearts.
Here's an overhead view of the center and side pieces. You can see that I started with a white tablecloth topped by a pink & white checked runner.
I thought this pillow was quite appropriate for a Valentine's setting so added it to a chair.
This is the full view of the table by the window. As you can see, with the snow outside, it will feel doubly cozy inside.
Now, we just need to finalize our decision on what restaurant to order from. What are your plans for Valentine's Day?
Thanks for visiting!
