When Christmas was over, I couldn't let go of my gingerbread themed hot cocoa bar (here) so I decided to redecorate it for winter.
Black and white buffalo check along with a winter sports theme helped with the transition.
Here is the set up on the left end of the sideboard. I placed a pair of skis in the little tree on the edge and added some other winter decor items.
A bucket of snowballs sits atop a sleigh with some skis and winter boots in the background.
This little snow-boy adds a frosty touch. If he gets too cold, there is a warm shirt and vest nearby.
The shelf above the winter cocoa bar got some winter decor too with little houses, lanterns and candles. On the door fronts below, I placed decorative mittens filled with faux greenery.
I didn't have a winter themed hot cocoa sign so I used this Gather one I recently purchased at HomeSense.
The hot cocoa fixings were placed directly under the sign on a tray. I included Cadbury cocoa mix, miniature marshmallows, chocolate wafer rolls, chocolate chips and small cookies in various glass jars. Some jars were tied with buffalo check ribbon.
Two mugs that are very appropriate for an apres ski vibe were set in front.
And looking towards the right side of the sideboard...
...a small Flex-Brew coffee maker serves double duty for hot cocoa as well.
Skates, skis and a faux antler shed provide the winter decor on this end of the sideboard.
With both Mr Delight and I being downhill skiers, this hot cocoa bar comes in pretty handy when warming up after a few runs at our local ski hill.
We have a lot more winter to get through in our neck of the woods so I'm happy I've kept this fun beverage center up awhile longer.
Thanks for visiting!

I loved your Christmas Hot Cocoa Bar and the winter one is equally as good! I think a few accessories every month will be a great idea to get you through the long, cold winter.
ReplyDeleteLove your Winter themed hot cocoa beverage bar. Look forward to seeing what you do each month! So creative and such talent!
ReplyDeleteLove this set up! Especially all the buffalo plaid throughout. I have been thinking about making my entryway table into a coffee bar, since my kitchen has such limited counter space.
ReplyDeleteI picked this as one of my features for this week's Snickerdoodle Create Bake Make Link Party.
