Mother's Day Lemon Themed Tablescape

Although many of us won't be able to celebrate Mother's Day gathered around a table with our moms, I still wanted to design a tablescape to honour the occasion.  It needed to be something bright and cheery to lighten our moods and what could be better than lemons?! Their sunny colour and uplifting vibe is perfect for this Mother's Day of 2020!

I've set the table for the moms of children and fur babies in my immediate family.

It would be so nice if we could all get together to celebrate!

I chose a spring green colour to accent the lemon yellow and created the place settings to match.

The cloth napkin was folded accordian style with a daisy napkin ring and set inside the bowl.

I added a faux lemon slice and a twig of faux forsythia for extra embellishment.

The flatware was grouped together with yellow ribbon in a simple bow that unties easily.

I borrowed this lemon stemware from my mom and it fit the theme perfectly.

I made these lemon placecards using clipart on my computer.

Instead of a table runner, I laid three coordinating cloth napkins end to end in the center of the table.

The centerpiece was created using three pots of greenery. I added battery operated string lights and tucked in some faux lemons and forsythia.

Two yellow taper candles in gold holders were set between the pots of greenery.

This lemon pitcher was part of the set...

...that goes with the glasses.

The dish stack consists of a round yellow placemat, a barnwood-look charger, a yellow dinner plate and green salad plate with a yellow bowl set on top.

A green and white check tablecloth provides the backdrop for all the lemony goodness.

I'm definitely wishing my daughter...

...and my mom could be here to share a meal in honour of Mother's Day...

...but they'll be here in spirit and in my heart!

Has the pandemic affected your plans for Mother's Day?

Thanks for visiting!
Happy Mother's Day!

    1. Hi there, I made them using Clipart in Microsoft Word on my computer. Just search for a lemon shape add the person's name by typing it then moving the image under it. Repeat for each guests' name. Print them and then cut out the lemon shapes, glue to construction paper and add to your table. ~ Lori PS You could probably Google "how to use clipart" for better instructions
