Winter Fireplace Decor

This year's winter mantel decor was kept fairly simple (for me) with just a few items and accessories to depict the season.

Here's the full view of the fireplace and I'll point out the decor elements below.

Around here, we like to create an apres ski type vibe during the winter so this pillow (Amazon) was the perfect inspiration.

I placed it atop a faux fur and added a faux antler, lantern and snowflake.

A pair of mini-skis were tucked in beside the pillow.

On the other side of the hearth, sits my trusty black lantern with a snowflake tucked inside.

The mantel was decorated with birch, pine cones and snowflakes.

A snowflake was hung on the existing mirror with some birch logs placed underneath.

Birch logs were also placed inside black vases with snowy pine cone picks.  An etched snowflake lantern with LED lights inside sits next to the vases.

The brown velvet chairs next to the fireplace were given a cozy vibe with faux furs and pillows.

A Let it Snow pillow was placed on this chair...

...with a moose pillow on this one.

And that's my winter fireplace decor for this year.

Although we haven't had a very tough winter (weather-wise) thus far, it's always nice to get cozy by the fire in the evenings.

Thanks for visiting!
