And if that table is outdoors for an al fresco meal, that's all the better!
For this tablescape, I combined the colours yellow and brown.
And added some green in the form of hosta leaves...
...and some cute little frogs like this guy.
The colour yellow speaks of sunshine and lemons...
The day was a gorgeous sunny one.
Faux lemons were added to the tablescape in various locations.
Some were placed inside the hosta leaf centerpieces...
...and some were used as placecard holders.
Just for fun, some ended up inside the water glasses.
Lemon-yellow coloured dishes and napkins add to the look.
A floral napkin ring gives a summer-time vibe.
The colour brown speaks of woodsy and natural elements.
With that in mind, I added a rustic brown lantern and birch log pieces.
And what could be more natural-looking than this cute froggie under a hosta leaf!
The tablecloth, placemats and chargers were also done in brown tones.
If you'd like to create the feel of a mini-vacation in your own backyard this summer, start by adding some special touches to the table for your next meal.
You'll be surprised at how much it makes you feel like you're on a holiday without ever leaving home.

Lori, I loved your Tablescape when I saw it on Instagram. Your creative use of hosta leaves tucked in a pretty pot with lemons nestled in is perfect. Beautiful setting in yellow and brown!
ReplyDeleteYour lemon tablescape is so pretty. I love the idea of combining brown with the yellow. When you suggested that creating a tablescape like this is like a mini-vacation, it connected with me because I did a lemon tablescape this spring and as I mentioned in my post, it was inspired by a trip to Bath, England. Thanks for linking up to Share Your Style.

Lori, Your table is beautiful and so cheery. There's something about lemon that makes you happy. Just thinking about the fragrance and essence it adds to food lifts your mood doesn't it.
