Getting Ready for Thanksgiving

Here in Canada, Thanksgiving is only 2 weeks away (second Monday of October) so I'm currently planning my tablescape for the special occasion.

I had a look back at some of my previous Thanksgiving table settings and thought you might like to peruse them as well.

If you want to see the whole post about any of the tablescapes, click on the heading above the picture.

Have you started thinking about your Thanksgiving tablescape? I hope you've been inspired to, whether it's in a couple weeks or at the end of November.
Thanks for visiting!

  4. Lori,

At first I am thinking Thanksgiving already but I forgot that you are in Canada and yours in October. I am glad that I don't have to think about that yet. We are moving this weekend and I will be lucky to have my house in some kind of order by Thanksgiving. I love every single one of your tablescapes. You have given me some ideas for this year. I especially like the outdoor one with all the pumpkins. I love those bowls that are shaped like leaves.

  6. As a fellow Canadian I am so glad our Thanksgiving is in October instead of so close to Christmas.
Your tablescapes are so pretty. I do have a question though. When I set my tables up and everything is looking great ... where do I put the food? Do you keep yours in the kitchen or on a buffet table and take the plates to the food or do you manage to find space on the table for the platters?
I often find myself paring down my centerpieces so I will have room.

  7. Gorgeous! I love those leaf dishes. I have one, for a candy dish or accent, I wish I had six of them!! Your tables are all beautiful!

  8. Wow what a great collection of tables. Every centerpiece arrangement is fantastic. Love that turkey taking center stage in the first picture. Each one of your centerpieces are beautiful and well thought out. I do wish our Thanksgiving was earlier so Christmas wasn't so close but I do enjoy the nip in the air that we have by then. I haven't thought about my table for this year just yet but I'm inspired by some things I've seen here!

  9. Wow! I just looked at each of those tablescapes ... in detail. Wish I could say I have a favorite, but they are all spectacular! I especially liked the way you used popcorn with your candles ... and I will copy that! Thanks for sharing!

  10. Oh my, every table for Thanksgiving is an inspiration! We are lucky in Canada is so much ahead than in the USA so we can have all your tables with great ideas and beauty. I like it in Oct. a little further away from the C'mas décor, otherwise they both clash at the same time.
Thanks for sharing my friend and happy Fall.
