A while back, I set up a display in my kitchen which encompasses elements associated with late summer and on through the fall season. I thought this was a good way be able to keep the décor appropriate for a longer period of time.
I started with the sunflowers you see around here beginning in late August.
These bright flowers were placed in and around the table display.
Some of the fruits of late summer and early fall were grouped together below the table.
A pail of faux green apples,
a sack of faux red apples
and a wooden crate of faux pears
combine for a ...
Let's take a look at what's on top of the table.
Moving a bit later into fall, a sampling of October items combined in a metal container help capture the feeling of this time of year.
A silver gilded turkey reminds us of Thanksgiving
(in October here in Canada)
Pumpkins, dried corn and colourful leaves are also reminiscent of fall days.
The large clock above the display ticks on as the days get shorter and shorter.
I'll be enjoying the décor in this area of the kitchen for a few more weeks but then it will be time to move on to Halloween and then Christmas.
There's no rest for those of us who are compelled driven wanting to add seasonal décor to our homes so I'm glad this display stayed up for a few months. :)
Thanks for visiting!
