In honour of the occasion, I thought I'd share some of the Valentine décor I've created on my étagère.
The top shelf
Both the red berry wreath and plates are Christmas but by adding some simple red hearts, they become Valentine themed.
The second shelf
These red pots are the only new purchase (from local florist shop) and I added the green boxwood balls on top.
My wooden LOVE sign was given a floral backdrop and a hanging red heart.
In the middle of the shelf, I placed a red heart-shaped tealight holder on a white heart-shaped plate.
The third shelf
This black birdcage is home to a white birdie, some faux greenery and a hanging red heart.
On the other side of this shelf, red pillar candles, a red feather boa and another red heart complete the look.
I placed 2 of my ampersand signs together because along with hearts, they are another perfect symbol for Valentine's Day.
The bottom shelf
A white lantern has center stage on this shelf.
It is adorned with a red heart and a vase with a faux air plant is placed inside.
Two faux pillar candles and another air plant sit atop red and white candleholders.
A black feather boa runs along the back of this shelf and is wrapped around this heart-shaped vase.
And that is a shelf by shelf look at...
...the Valentine vignettes I've created...
...on the étagère in our living room.
Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Lori! I was just visiting your blog earlier this morning. I am so pleased that you stopped by "my place." I haven't been posting much lately, but the urge to get back into tablescaping again is starting to take over.
ReplyDeleteI love the red dove plates. I had no idea they were supposed to be Christmas. They seem very Valentine-y to me.
You've done a lovely job with the black, white and red colors. Actually, that combination of colors has always appealed to me. I went with it in my living room when I redecorated several years ago, and I'm nowhere near getting tired of it yet.
Where do you pick up your boxwood balls?
What beautiful vignettes each shelf has to display! Wonderfully put together Lori, thank you so much for linking up to the first Share Your Style link party. Have a great day!

Wow! I wish I would have seen this post before Valentines Day; I would have been inspired to do a little more decorating! That feather boa- what a great idea! Thanks so much for sharing your creative and lovely vignette at Talented Tuesdays!
ReplyDeleteOh Lori, I must have missed this Valentine Display last year (I was having a knee replacement last February) on your etagere and it is just too cute with all your Valentine favorite pieces. Nothing more striking than red! Keep them coming.
