100 Totally Terrific Weeks of Tablescape Thursday!

It's time to celebrate! Susan at Between Naps on the Porch is hosting her 100th Tablescape Thursday! This weekly meme is the main reason I wanted to start a blog!
My sincere thanks goes out to Susan for her dedication and commitment to not only coming up with her own fabulous 'scapes every week but also allowing us fellow dish-lovers to participate as well.

I don't have a wonderful porch like Susan does so for my outdoor area, I set the table in our little cabana.

A celebratory dinner will be held here on Thursday in honour of the occasion! Of course, only those appreciative of "the art of tablescaping" are invited!
Originally, I started with a black and white theme but decided to add the apple-green to add a pop of summertime colour.
(Tablescape details at end of post)

Layering adds interest to any place-setting.
Here, I used a black tablecloth, white placemat, black charger, black & white plates separated by green napkin and a white floral shaped bowl containing a green apple. Green handled flatware bring more of the accent colour to the setting.

The centerpiece was created with a lime-green watering can my daughter gave me as a birthday gift earlier this year. I added greenery and daisies.

Pillar candles flank each side of the centerpiece. Two glass stemmed pieces hold floating candles above black pebbles.

Nestled in between the candle holders, are two little froggies....here is the one on the left side.

And also two white birdies...here is the one on the right side.

Above, you will see I placed white roses in the tiebacks for the netting around the cabana.  The tablecloth also got a floral/ribbon treatment at the corners.  My potted hostas almost coordinate with the colour scheme!

I'm going with a traditional summer BBQ menu to celebrate the 100th week of Tablescape Thursday. It includes Cesar salad served in the white floral bowls to start. Homemade multigrain buns on bread plates (currently under bowls). This will be followed by barbequed steak, baked potatoes with onions & dill, corn on the cob and grilled asparagus. For dessert, ice-cream sundaes will be served in these! Strawberry or chocolate for you?

If you are one of the few who haven't visited Between Naps on the Porch yet, NOW is the time to do so.  You won't be disappointed!
