This tablescape started with this gorgeous bouquet of pink phlox that my mom brought to church last Sunday.
She had picked them from her lovely flower garden and arranged them so beautifully.
I was thrilled when she gave them to me after the service.
I had originally planned to use them in a tablescape on this table on our deck but between work and household chores, I ran out of time so ....
...ended up bring the phlox bouquet indoors and used the darkness of late evening to create an intimate mood.
There was a thunderstorm going on outside which added to the cozy feeling in this little nook.
The phlox and rose dishes by candlelight
created a pink glow.
This tablescape was a practice run for the July birthday party at my office (two women this month) and after setting this up, I once again packed it all up to take to work to set up in the Staff Room there.created a pink glow.
I recently purchased these pink rose dishes at HomeSense in the clearance aisle for $2/ea.
The pink rose bowls were also marked down,
4 bowls/$9.
These little teapots are by Partylite (years ago) and serve as both placecard holders and..
...tealight holders when the lids are off.
I got this little green birdcage at a Bowring
store last year.
store last year.
I placed this little birdie/tealight holder inside.
The candle trio and hurricane shade are also by Partylite years ago.
The "blue hour" is turning darker.
Maybe Mr. Delight and I should have a meal here before it gets packed up for the office celebration.
It does seem pretty romantic though
maybe a tad too pink!
