My Frosty Valentine Tablescape

In keeping with My Frosty Valentine theme, I decided to design a Valentine tablescape which included hearts, snowflakes and frosty greenery.

Pink, white and green were chosen as the main colours for the table which created a soft romantic vibe.

My inspiration actually started with these pink plastic chargers from Michael's which were a recent purchase.

The centerpiece was created using 3 of these small flocked trees from my Christmas decor.

They were placed down the middle of the table on top of pink round placemats.

I added small faux roses and pink hearts to the flocked tree branches.

Candles, hearts, snowflakes, faux florals and greenery were tucked at the base of each tree.

Battery operated string lights were woven throughout the centerpiece.

Let's take a look at the place setting arrangements now.

These Pier 1 faux greenery placemats served as a base/outline for the flocked greenery I added.

I tucked small pieces of frosted/flocked faux greenery around the pink charger plate and added snowflakes and pink hearts to the outer edges.

This rose napkin fold can be found in multiple tutorials on the internet and is very easy to do. I embellished it with a sprig of greenery and a snowflake.

Heart shaped bowls and plates sit atop a pink floral-shaped plate and a white dinner plate. As mentioned, the pink chargers are plastic and are from Michael's this year.

Clear acrylic handled flatware was tied with a ribbon at each place setting.

A water goblet and teacup stand ready for beverages.

A couple of candy hearts were placed on the teacup saucer.

An overview of the completed tablescape.

This was a fun table setting to put together and the wintry vibe is definitely one that fits Valentine's Day in our neck of the woods where snow usually abounds at this time of year.

Here's a few other views in different lighting...

This tablescape would also work well for a Galentine's Day celebration and I'm going to keep it in mind for next year when hopefully, guests will be allowed in our homes once again!

Thanks for visiting!

  3. Thanks for the gorgeous inspiration! No way can I come close to duplicating, but your creativity is inspiring and fun to look at. I'm curious as to if you leave these up as decor, or if it's just used for one meal (dishes I mean...I'm sure you'd keep the centerpiece). If you do use them for a meal, I'm curious as to if soup really is easy to eat from the bowls, and what each plate is for. Was one bread and another salad and then the main meal plate? Thanks!

    1. Thanks so much Janine for your sweet compliments! I have left this tablescape up as decor for now. I'm thinking of using it for our Valentine's dinner but will remove 2 of the place settings and dust off the others. LOL As for the dishes, I think the heart shaped bowl will be for a bit of homemade soup as an appetizer (haven't tried eating from them yet so not sure how they'll be). The white heart-shaped plate will be for a dinner roll/bun with the soup. The pink floral plate will be for our salad. We're planning on having steak and crab so the white dinner plate will be for that. Happy Valentine's Day to you! ~ Lori

  4. Wow, this is gorgeous Lori! I must learn how to make a rose napkin fold. I've never seen the awesome faux greens from Pier I before. Love how they can be incorporated into almost any seasonal tablescape. I never thought to look at Michaels for charger plates, I'm after some white.
