I've entitled this tablescape "First Frost". It was inspired by the frosty look of these galvenized metal chargers that I got on Amazon earlier this year.
I combined the chargers with these metal houses (also Amazon) which had a similar look...
...as did these metal deer candleholders (Pharmasave) which fit the theme perfectly as well.
I placed the metal items on a silver-gray runner down the center of the table and added faux frosted pine (garland from Michael's cut into pieces). String lights provided some added sparkle.
The place settings started with the galvenized metal chargers topped with white salad and dinner plates.
Metal star ornaments (Real Deals) served as placecard holders. These were placed on glass tree-shaped appetizer plates. The stars could also be take home favours for your guests.
Silver cloth napkins were given a bit of embellishment with faux frosty pine needles.
Clear glass stemware was chosen for it's icy look.
The hammered appearance on this flatware has a frosty vibe as well.
I decided not to use a tablecloth as I wanted a more woodsy rustic look and the bare tabletop provided that. I did however, use white placemats as a base to each place setting.
Faux candles which operate by remote control were placed inside the metal houses and these provided a nice glow at night. You could also wrap string lights inside for a similar effect.
This "first frost" tablescape has both a winter and/or Christmas feel to it and could be used for any occasion this season.
Have you had a "first frost" where you live? Or has snow taken over now? Stay cozy my friends!
Thanks for visiting!
