Here's the Pier 1 ad where indeed, they are calling it
"The Luxe Life".
"The Luxe Life".
For my version, I went with more of a cobalt blue and gold colour palette.
I included these faux grapes to represent the fall grape harvest.
The place settings began with a gold placemat, gold charger, a gold rimmed white plate, a gold salad plate topped by a blue bowl.

The salad plates were leaf-shaped, perfect for fall.
I was happy to use the amber and blue stemware I've had for ages as it coordinated wonderfully...
...as did the gold flatware I had.
I used some blue-toned faux fern fronds for an extra embellishment under the flatware.
My individual salt & pepper shakers made an appearance as well.
I enjoy using these acrylic knife rests when I'm designing a "fancier" tablescape.

The centerpiece started with this gold pumpkin which I placed on a riser and surrounded with more faux grapes and various types of faux foliage.
This wooden riser is a recent purchase from Pier 1 and it has come in very handy for times when I want to give my centerpieces an added boost!
It was placed on a gold table runner.
A grapevine ball with mini-lights and a sparkly gold pumpkin flank each side of the centerpiece.

An acorn-shaped dish was placed on each end of the table.
Two antique-gold lanterns were added to the centerpiece line-up.

I really enjoyed putting these colours together, using items I had on hand, for a tablescape...
...which could work well for a fall dinner party or even Thanksgiving.

ReplyDeleteVery beautiful tablescape. I love the blue with the gold.
ReplyDeleteSo fancy shmancy! I guess you won't be serving corn on the cob and ribs then? LOL! Happy Fall!
ReplyDeleteLori, it's lovely! I love the deep blues mixed with the gold -- they have such depth. The organic elements you added finish the design beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI like yours better. My favorite is the leaves under the flatware. Gail
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Lori!
