I went with a green apple and daisy theme set against a black & white buffalo check backdrop.
Apple season will soon be here and green apples are the perfect vibrant colour for summer.
A black, green and white place setting coordinated well with the theme.
A side view of the dish stack.
A green handled fork was tucked inside the daisy napkin ring to save room on the table.
These green sundae cups were called into action for our ice cream dessert.
The centerpiece consisted of 3 faux daisy arrangements and 2 black lanterns.
The faux daisies were set inside these green tin buckets from the Dollar Store.
One arrangement held this cute wooden butterfly.
...a green magnetic dragonfly was placed on each lantern.
Black flutes serve as the stemware.
A buffalo check table runner was set atop a black tablecloth.
The table was set inside our covered cabana area in the backyard...
...which always works well in case of rain - fortunately, the weather stayed good for our BBQ.
We were able to sit around the table and catch up on what's been happening with our visitors since we last saw them.
So happy I made the effort to set a nice table as a backdrop to our conversation.
I always get the question of where does the food go when there is so much decor on the table. We set up a buffet on our kitchen island for guests to help themselves. The dishes that you see at the place settings have been taken into our kitchen by that point. :)
Thanks for visiting!

A stunning table. Made me so happy to look at it. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteP.S. At a garage sale today I bought 8 perfect square plates for $5. Whoo Hoo! Now I just have to buy linens, flowers and vases, salt and peppers, additional coordinating tableware, candles......and maybe actually invite somebody.....
Fantastic table styling:-))) I love the mix of black and green:-))) It's all perfect:-))
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is "this table is yummy". Love it and it's so refreshing.
ReplyDeleteYour outdoor tablescape is perfect - what a truly fun pop of color that green is - very summery indeed!
ReplyDeleteHave had zero outdoor dining - either too rainy or too hot - and then we had one glorious perfect week of weather and that's when we had to get a new deck which still isn't done - so hopefully before the leaves fall we will!
Beautiful tablescape! I absolutely love the colors; so bright and cherry! Just perfect for a wonderful outdoor gathering!

What a beautiful table setting. I love the black?white and green. Such beauty. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLoved everything about this! I'll bet your guests felt special indeed. As to your question -- I avoid dinners alfresco in the summer. We're just north of Atlanta, and although we're in the Appalachian foothills it's HOT down here. But....we get to dine outdoors in the spring and fall. And sometimes in the winter!
ReplyDeleteHi Lori,
ReplyDeleteI love the black and white and green together. This table setting is soooo pretty. Have a great week ahead.

ReplyDeleteI bought it so long ago! I think it was from a local Red Apple store. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. ~ Lori
