Tiered Tray with Beach Decor & More Tray Ideas

By now, you know that decorating my tiered tray for each season and/or holiday has become a favourite hobby of mine.  For those of you who feel intimidated by seasonal decorating or just want one small area of your home to reflect the current season/holiday, a tiered tray is the way to go!

Inspiration for the beach theme began with this sign I found last year in a little gift shop while travelling.

I rounded up everything else from my stash and tried different ways of arranging it on the tray.

On the top tier, I placed various shells, a starfish, a shell ball, aqua coloured jar and some sea glass.

Similar items were arranged on the bottom tier with the addition of some small white bowls and bits of sea-grass type greenery.

I usually have my tiered tray at the end of the kitchen island so that it is adds some seasonal decor to the kitchen.

When we want to eat at the end of the island, it is easy to push it to one side.

Because all sides of the tray are visible, I make sure all views are pleasing.
This is the "back" view.

This is is another sign I got at the same time as the one on the "front" side.

Always one to use dishes, I placed some of these shell-shaped plates on the tray.

And that's my tiered tray decorated for summer...

Of course, I love changing it up so there could be another look before too long.

If you need more convincing on all the fun you can have with a tiered tray, here's a look back at the different ways I've decorated my tiered tray since getting it last year.

    1. Thanks for your sweet compliment on my trays. I got the skates a few years back at Home Hardware. They were meant to be Christmas tree ornaments.

    1. Sorry but we painted these walls over 10 years ago so I don't even think that colour would be available...if I could even remember it! ~ Lori
