Sorry I have been MIA here on the blog lately. I hope you know that I'm usually posting over on Instagram much more regularly so be sure to click on the link on my sidebar if you want to see what I'm up to.
I am back here today to share this fun St Patrick's Day tablescape I've put together for this year's Irish celebration.
My inspiration began with the centerpiece.
I took three of these green pots of faux plants and placed them at different intervals down the center of the table.
Two black pots I had on hand were filled with chocolate gold coins and set beside the greenery.
Instead of using a table runner, the centerpiece items were all set inside two white serving dishes.
The center greenery pot was placed on a white pedestal.
Little green shamrocks from the Dollar Store were taped on to the pots.
Taper candles in gold candleholders add a lovely ambiance to the table.
Here's how the centerpiece looks all placed together.
The place settings were done in gold, black and green.
I created placecard holders out of these little black pots.
They are actually necklaces that I picked up at the Dollar Store. Depending on your crowd, it may be fun to have your guests put them on during dinner. :)
I wrote the names on them with a gold marker that is meant for glassware so it washes off. Some chocolate coins were added.
The gold flatware was placed inside the ribbon holding the napkins.
I added a little green beer mug to the ribbon for added decoration.
A pot of gold coin chocolates were set beside each place setting as a treat for the guests.
Of course, the glassware was in the form of beer mugs...do you like your beer to be green on St Patrick's Day? :)
A green and white buffalo check tablecloth provides the backdrop for the table decor.
The back of the chairs were given a green touch with some faux boxwood wreaths tied with ribbons.
Being a wee bit Irish, I always like to decorate for St Patrick's Day.
Now that my table setting is all planned out, I should think about who to invite and what to serve for the upcoming celebration.
Do you do anything special for St Patrick's Day?
If so, I hope I've provided some inspiration for a tablescape or maybe just some fun decorations.
Thanks for visiting!
