My tablescape has a definite feminine flair and would be perfect to celebrate the more recently known Galentine's Day.
In case you haven't heard of that term, Galentine's Day falls on Feb 13th and is a day to celebrate all the lovely ladies in your life.
It's the perfect time to get your best gals together for a luncheon to acknowledge what they mean to you.
Here's some ideas for your tablescape if you plan to host such an event.
Here's some ideas for your tablescape if you plan to host such an event.
A wintry centerpiece began by arranging faux pine boughs with frosty tips (from Christmas greenery) down the middle of the table...
...and adding snowflakes and various pink hearts ...
...both ones I made and some like these that I bought way back at a local florist's shop.
Tall glass candleholders add height to the centerpiece.
A string of battery-operated mini-lights were arranged throughout the greenery for some sparkle and ambiance.
Place settings were done up in pink and white with heart-shaped plates adding to the theme.
The placecard holders were created by grouping some pink tulle in a small white dish along with pink hearts, faux greenery and a snowflake.
I cut the paper hearts out and embellished them with a snowflake sticker and wrote the names with silver-ink.
Hershey kisses were tucked inside the tulle as a Valentine treat.
A combination of both pink and white cloth napkins were wrapped inside a silver snowflake napkin ring.
Little details like a sprig of the faux greenery inside the napkin ring go a long way in creating a special table for your guests.
Pink lemonade in snowflake glasses coordinates perfectly and a snowflake mug awaits some steaming hot coffee.
Yes, those are huge banks of snow outside the windows!
But it's warm and cozy inside and...
...it's the perfect time to celebrate LOVE in all its forms.
Thanks for visiting!

ReplyDeleteLori, I love the way you combined both snow and Valentines together. That is always a question for me - do I get rid of my snow decor to make way for Valentines, that is, after all, only one day. You have figured out a way to celebrate both and the pink is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou have outdone yourself once again with this gorgeous tablescape featuring snowflakes and valentines. Your centerpiece with the greenery, pink hearts and snowflakes scattered down the center of the table is so soft and creative, Lori. I love your pink tablecloth and pink lemonade in your snowflakes glasses. So feminine, love it!!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful post! I love that you have incorporated a snowy theme. Everyone (myself including) is thinking spring already, but Valentine's Day is really a winter holiday. It is more likely for us to have snow on Valentine's Day than on Christmas in Eastern KY.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will come over and link up this post at Share The Love Valentine Link Party! Have a great weekend!
