Christmas to New Year's Eve Tablescape

The days in between Christmas and New Year's Day are my favourite time of the holiday season.  All the hustle and bustle has eased and now it's time to sit back and relax with family enjoying the pretty decorations and eating the yummy leftovers.

There is however, still the occasion of New Year's Eve/Day where you might want to have your table looking a bit festive whether it's for family or invited guests.

With that in mind, I designed a tablescape that transitions from Christmas to New Year's, is appropriate for both occasions and didn't require a lot of effort.

A frosty fire and ice theme was chosen starting with this simple centerpiece.

You might remember this Upscale Buffalo Check Christmas Tablescape (here) I showed you awhile back.  Reusing some of those items, helped make this new tablescape fast and easy to create.

I placed four of these acrylic light-up Christmas trees (I've had for many years) on mirrors and staggered them down the center of the table.

In between the trees, I arranged cylinder vases.

Silver ornaments, snowflakes and acrylic ice were placed inside the bottom with a tealight candle on faux snow in the insert on top.

These were set atop a silver snowflake table runner.

The place settings were done in white and silver.

Acrylic snowflake napkin rings add some sparkle.

To add interest, these silver snowflake napkin rings were used at alternating place settings.

Red and white wine glasses reflect the light from the centerpieces creating a festive vibe.

And while the centerpiece is the star of the show, it doesn't take up a lot of room on the table...

...and the other necessary items take a supporting role.

Whether it's for Christmas or New Year's Eve, this table is definitely set to celebrate.

You can visit here if you'd like to see more of the Silver Deer Christmas Sideboard behind the table.

Do you have a special dinner on New Year's Day?
I think we'll be doing our usual order-in Chinese food which makes things super easy!

Wishing you all the best for 2018!

Thanks for visiting!

Nothing special planned for the New Year’s Day but I hope to be able to get to a couple of places to shop while visiting since they have stores we don’t.
