Outdoor Fall Tablescape

As promised in my last post, here is a look at the outdoor fall tablescape I created in our cabana last week.

What we call "the cabana" is really just a small canopied area on the deck in our backyard.

We enjoy many meals out here in the summer months and on warm days in early fall.

My tablescape started with a centerpiece created using multiple cylinder hurricane vases.

Here are the items that I placed inside each one.

The place settings were kept very casual.

These plates have an embossed leaf pattern on one side which seemed perfect for fall.

A burlap runner, few faux leaves and pumpkins complete the table setting.

If you look "up" in the pic below, you'll see my candelier hung over the table...

...and here too along with a view toward the firebowl and sitting area.

The mini-lights and candlelight look pretty in the evening.

When dinner is done, we often like to get cozy by the firebowl.

Whether its for eating meals or a casual drink with friends, the backyard cabana area has made for a great social spot this season.

Click here to see more of the fall décor in the backyard.

Thanks for visiting!

  2. A beautiful spot that is so inviting. So cosy and appealing. Every detail draws the eye and impresses. Your photographs are very good. So clear and crisp. Love your landscaping also.

  3. I sent my Mom the link to your last post so that she could see how you've done your cabana area, and I'm certainly going to see to it that she sees this post, too. She's going to love it as much as I do! You have seriously put the hammer down on this tablescape!!! The centerpiece is wonderful for the season, and it really adds a touch of class and warmth. I have balked at using cylinders with the divided sections, but seeing what you've done here has inspired me many times over.

It's great that your sitting area can be in close proximity to the dining area. Everyone feels involved and included and in the spirit!

  8. Your outdoor area is oh.so.pretty! I do love those vases...are they specially made? do they hold the "inserts" up to float a candle so you can put the leaves and pebbles near the bottom? Thanks for sharing this great tablescape with us!
