Next up in my Easter decorating is the sideboard in the dining room. I went with a brown/white, slightly rustic look which will coordinate with my Easter tablescape (coming soon!).
I started by putting a white bunny, birdie and artichoke-type candleholder inside a mini-suitcase. A bird nest and some raffia are added to fill the spaces and create a more rustic look.
The view from the other side.
Some natural coloured faux eggs and raffia were placed inside a tall glass vase.
A burlap daisy flower that has a clip on the back was attached to some twine and tied around the vase.
I placed a white floral wreath on the mirror over the sideboard.
Beside the sideboard, my new "chippy paint" tall vase and candleholders sit on a table. My faux "budding leaves" branches fill the vase. Two whimsical white bunnies add an Easter touch to the display.
My sister-in-law recently gave me these cute egg-rimmed votive holders for my birthday. I thought they looked cute on top of the tall candleholders and with the bunnies below.
Did you notice these two nests in the branches? (Another gift from my SiL)
On the bottom of the table, I've placed a basket of faux hydrangea and greenery.
In the other corner beside the sideboard, is a smaller "chippy paint" vase with some faux greenery. This adorable bunny, also a gift from my SiL (does she know me, or what?) watches over a little collection of Easter eggs.
This white & brown, slightly rustic décor is a departure from the usual pastel tones one expects at Easter but it is one I feel more comfortable with.
Thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteI just recently found your blog...So glad I did. I LOVE EVERYTHING about your side board. It is so homey and rustic.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Easter :)

Very pretty! I love the idea of a rustic Easter, especially with the darker colors since not everyone has 70 degree temps and blue skies right now.
ReplyDeleteC-o-o-l!!! I really like those burlap daisies. They're the prettiest I've seen. The others have all been kind of limp. These stand at attention! I really like the decor in the candleholders above the daisies, too. And that lamp...I know it's not supposed to be part of the vignette per se, but I really like the shape of it. Hmmmmm....can you hear the wheels of my tiny little brain spinning?
ReplyDeletePretty Easter decor! I like the subdued coloring.
I like your rustic touch. The burlap flowers are cute and that white bunny sitting in the case with the birdie has stollen my heart. He is adorable!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
Your vignette is cute enough to stay around a while.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice SIL...great gifts that make a really sweet arrangement.
