Tablescape Thursday has rolled around once again and I'm linking up with Between Naps on the Porch for this weekly event. Thanks Susan for hosting!

We have had such beautiful weather lately, I'm really in the mood for Spring and I am showing a "Think Spring" luncheon I hosted for some ladies last year. My colours were pastel shades of yellow, green and pink.
I created a centerpiece using a nest with eggs, real pussywillows, some faux green apples and hydrangeas in a glass bowl.
I purchased two sets of these Gibson dishes at the Canadian Superstore a few years back, one set in yellow, one in green. The green handled flatware was from a local Pharmasave store.
Each guest got to take home the little birdie beside her plate.
We enjoyed mimosas while we waited for everyone to arrive.
For the appetizer, I made Mushroom with Wild Rice Soup.
For our entree, I made a cheese/pasta casserole with sundried tomatoes, a tossed salad with toasted pecans and balsamic vinaigrette dressing and a slice of homemade bread.
Dessert was a strawberry lemon parfait.
I hope I have you "Thinking Spring" too! Be sure to check out the other blogs linked to BNOTP for more ideas.
What a lovely table. I wish I could have been there. You fixed everything so nice, and I would have loved that little bird.

This is a note to Tooprettytotouch - I tried to email you or leave a note on your blog but it wouldn't let me.
ReplyDeleteWhen you click on the pics on my sidebar, they should take you to the post that I did on each one so you may have to scroll down a bit and see the other pics interspersed with the post. Hope that helps! (a couple of the pics don't have the "click on this to see more" and those won't work as I haven't done a post about them yet!) Thanks for looking!
