Easter Tea for Two

I am editing this post a bit as I just discovered another fabulous blog-hostess, Katherine at Lady Katherine's  Tea Parlor who has Tea Parties every week and she invited me to share this one with you.  Be sure to stop by Katherine's and sip some tea with her and the others.

There is another wonderful hostess in Blogland. Her name is Susan and she invites over a hundred people into her home every week.  Visitors to BNOTP are sure to enjoy the most beautiful tablescapes you can imagine.  Click on the button below to share the experience.  You won't be sorry!

With Easter only a few weeks away, I thought I'd share an Easter Tea for Two I hosted for my mom and I a couple of years ago.

I moved a round table in front of the fireplace and decorated with pinks and whites and Easter decor.

I used my wedding china, Dimity Rose by
Royal Albert

A hurricane candle holder by Partylite surrounded by faux roses creates a centerpiece flanked by a large white bunny (Home Sense).

It was so cozy by the fireside chatting and sipping tea with my mom.

I decorated the mantel for Easter.

Small teapot placecard holders (Partylite) and a small bunny (also Partylite) adorn each place setting.
The little teapots are also tealight holders when you remove the lids.

We started our tea party with a glass of sherry.
That makes it more of a celebration!

Various tea sandwiches and squares were enjoyed by both of us.

Evening brings a more "romantic" look to
our tea setting.

Thanks for stopping by!  These pictures have reminded me I should make time to have a special tea party with my mom again this year. We really enoyed this one two years ago.  Do you have someone special you'd like to invite for tea? What better time than Spring/Easter to enjoy their company!

  11. Wow this is wonderful! It actually brought a tear to my eyes because it made me wish I had done this with my mother when she was alive. She would have enjoyed something like that more then words could say.

Do share another lovely day like that with your mother again. We should all spend more time with our mothers while we are able.

Everything is so pretty and just perfect looking.

    Hugs,
    Joanne

  26. Hi,
I too am new at this blogging business but I am certain I will one day conquer it.
I love your tea party decor. Your china is wonderful as is all the beautiful bunnies and eggs. Super!!! Tea parties are my most favorite thing ever. I have always had tea parties with my grandchildren. Girls & Boys. I find it the perfect time to teach manners and social graces. But we still have a glorious time together.
Oh yes, the springform pan thing. I realized, after the fact, that I had the pan upside down. You would think after 40 or 50 years of using them I would know up from down. Oh well, so soon old so late smart.
Thanks so much for checking our my blog.
    Have a lovely weekend.

  29. Beautiful Easter table setting. Love how you have it in front of the fireplace. Lot of times it is still cold on Easter even though everyone wants to wear summery looking clothes. Thanks for stopping by and glad you enjoyed the tour.

  33. When my grandson and granddaughter were little I used to have a tea party with them. I would use cups from my collection and would make cookies or something special to serve with the tea. I would let them pour the tea. I never had a broken cup, but I did clean up my share of tea. They are now 14 and 18 and we still do tea parties. My Grandmother started me collecting tea cups. She has been gone for almost 30 years and I still have the first cup she gave me.
