Life has gotten very busy lately and we are doing some reno's in our master bedroom and en suite bathroom so I haven't had the time to blog/comment as much as I'd like and my apologies to you all. I did manage to get a Halloween tablescape together for this week's Tablescape Thursday hosted by Susan of Between Naps on the Porch. I'm sure there will be lots of very scary 'scapes to check out!
I started out with more of a "cute" themed table but it gradually changed ....
...into a more sinister 'scape. I got Ms. Witch last year at the half price sales after Halloween and decided to make her the centerpiece of my table. She is guarded by two ever-watchful black ravens perched high on some Partylite candle holders.
Mr. Delight helped me set up some different lighting for this shot and I like the effect created on the table.
The skulls that flank Ms. Witch are some I have had
for awhile now.
I put a tealight inside to give them a spooky glow.
I cut off the black spider in this pic but he is waiting to see what evil potion is being poured into this glass.
A "possessed" skull is screaming inside the other glass.
(glass looks dusty but really, it is the lighting!)
I used some black/white swirl plates on black chargers.
The napkins are graced with some lovely cut off witches' fingers.
More light to see what evil lurks....
A closer look at one of the skulls
Are you frightened yet?
Happy Halloween!
