It is my favourite time of the week again, time for Tablescape Thursday hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Be sure to check out all the fabulous tablescapes linked to her blog. You just might get a bit of inspiration for your own Thanksgiving table.
This weekend, we, Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving and even though we are heading over to our daughter's for the meal, I've done up a table here just for FUN!
No doubt, you are getting sick of my orange pumpkin bowls but this is the time of year I use them lots!
My centerpiece consists of three jars of various kinds of pumpkins.
I started with my brown chargers.
Then came my orange plates.
A green plate....
And of course, a pumpkin bowl!
An apothecary jar filled with ceramic pumpkins. Sometimes I put one of these little pumpkins at each place setting to hold the placecards.
Here I changed up the centerpiece using a different glass vase/jar filled with a pumpkin ring and a trio of candle holders by Partylite. Which centerpiece do you prefer?
It was fun to just set the table and know that someone else is doing the cooking! Of course, I'll be helping my daughter as it is her first time hosting a special family meal. It should be fun!
Hope all you fellow Canadians have a wonderful Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for!
Positively opulent with all these marvelous oranges!!
ReplyDeleteI would have a tough time picking just one centerpiece...they are both beautiful.
Happy Canadian Turkey Day!!

Just beautiful. It's a shame you won't be celebrating at that table.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the three jars as the center peice, I thought it looked great, but then I saw the single large glass bowl with pumpkins and candles and that was the winner for me. There was something about the abundance of pumpkins.

Hi, Just found your blog and your stunning tablescapes. Just beautiful eye candy for the soul that loves tablescaping as I do. A year ago I was giving dishes to Good Will and downsizing. Then I discovered blogs! I just started a blog myself, sort of feeling my way into it and asking the Lord to guide me in the direction it goes. I am going to subscribe by email to your blog right now! Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteI love your tablescape, but I especially love your individual covered pumpkin bowls. Would love to have some myself to use during the fall season. The centerpieces are both equally beautiful. Thank you for all your wonderful ideas and inspiration.
