This past Saturday, I invited 3 girlfriends over for a summer luncheon in our cabana. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed a leisurely afternoon.
I set the table with an all white theme giving a fresh cool look just right for summer.
My square white dishes were pulled into service for this tablescape. When I purchased this set, I was drawn to them because of the unique cups/saucers. After using them for awhile, however I am not so keen on them as I find it awkward to always have to line up the cup perfectly into the square outline on the saucer.
I kept the menu simple, serving Cream of Potato with Dill soup, Panini sandwiches and Strawberry Shortcake for dessert. We sipped frozen mojito drinks in the tall glasses.
The white vase and hexagonal covered dish beside it were Thrift Store finds. The white birdie is from HomeSense. I liked the "whiteness" and detail in of all these pieces.
Life gets so busy sometimes, it is wonderful when you make the time to sit and relax with friends. Note to self.....do it more often!
