Valentine and Winter Themed Tiered Tray

I never got around to decorating my tiered tray for winter so now that Valentine's Day is approaching, I decided to combine the two themes.

I'm calling it My Frosty Valentine as the tray is decked out with hearts and snowflakes.

Here is a look at the top tier where I've tucked in lots of faux frosty branches as a backdrop to this little red house.

I attached lettered beads that spell Love to the front of the house and also applied a few snowflake stickers.

This white LOVE sign was tucked behind a quilted heart (heart is from Michael's this year) and some tiny faux snowballs fill the empty spaces.

On the other side of the red house, sits this heart mug which was part of Home Hardware's Christmas clearance sales. I filled it with faux frosty branches and some red hearts.

It is hard to tell and I should have taken a better pic but I like to use various things as risers for the items I put in my tray. These include drink coasters, lids from jars, wood slices - anything that helps create different heights which is more pleasing to the eye.

The bottom tier also has a little house, this time in white.  I taped on little red hearts to the front of it so that it fit my theme better.

Next to the house, sits a bucket of snowballs and hearts.  I also placed another of the heart mugs on this tier.

On the other side, I've arranged another quilted heart in front of a small white vase filled with greenery and snowflakes.

I've added some red Valentine decor to a few places around my kitchen.  You might also notice the LOVE letters on the shelves in the background...

I've used a variety of letters to spell words here on these 4 shelves including HOME, COOK and FOOD throughout the years and I'm not sure why it just dawned on me now that LOVE is a four letter word!!  LOL  Perfect for my Valentine's decor!

I placed string lights in the little white house and a faux candle in the red house...

...and they look so pretty at night when we enter this space.

Love is definitely in the air in our kitchen though I'm thankful it's not frosty air! LOL

Thanks for visiting!

  4. Beautiful - makes me want to have a place in my kitchen for such a tray. I had one in my den, but the top piece broke off, so now it is a single layer tray. Need to get a new one. Love your decorations!
