In my last three posts, I've shown you various combinations of apple green/black/white which are the colours my daughter and her finance have chosen for their wedding colours.
Today, I'll let you know which combination of the three they chose.
My daughter preferred having the apple green be the dominant colour whereas her fiance thought the apple green should be an accent colour to the black.
Neither of them were that keen on having white as the dominant colour though the idea of having branches as part of a tall centerpiece on the tables appealed to them.
As a compromise, they have decided to alternate the reception tables with some having the apple-green tablecloths and black accents and others having black tablecloths with apple-green accents. I think this will look very striking in the venue they have chosen.
It was fun setting up these mini-reception table samples in my living room and they were thankful for the visual on how the different combo's would look.
Here's a peek at a couple other colour combinations I tried out as well.
I divided my dining room table in half for two different looks.
One side had a purple and apple-green combination.
And the other side, had an orange/brown/green combination.
I hope you'll check back for my next post where I will reveal more of this bridal shower tablescape shown below.

They chose well, I love the idea of alternating the tables. I will be a lovely reception.
ReplyDeleteThe reception is going to be beautiful, the alternating of the tables is a wonderful idea.. hugs ~lynne~
ReplyDeleteWe also alternated the heights of the centerpieces throughout the reception. I like the idea of alternating the predominant color from table to table. Your designs were beautiful...your kids are blessed to have you in their corner. Thank you for sharing your wonderful tablescapes. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteGetting so much ideas just in case our daughter gives us the good news! Thank you for sharing this fabulous tables, they're all great and so pretty to choose from, I love the black with green, very elegant for an evening wedding, I also love the height you gave to the centerpiece, love them. Lots of hugs. FABBY
ReplyDeleteAlternating colours is a great idea. I like the other colours you paired with the green also, but I think the black is more formal. I look forward to the next installment!

Love the colors. ARe they going to be able to have the heart shaped plates? They would be just perfect for a wedding dinner - so romantic. I just love the tall centerpieces too. You are so fun to have made these up for them.
ReplyDeleteYou really put a lot of great tables together. Thats the problem with the internet and weddings: there are just so many things to choose from that its hard to know what you will still love when you look back at your photos in 5, 10 or 20 years. I have a daughter getting married next year and I don't want her to say "what was I thinking?" when she looks back. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to pick. I think they chose well and the alternating tables will be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to see you getting so into this!!! I love it! I can't wait to see the photos from the reception after the wedding. This will be a wonderful memory for you and your daughter! No surprise that the fiance thought apple green should play second fiddle to the black. He is such a GUY!!!! :-) Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI love the photos and the colors were beautful. Thanks
ReplyDeleteThose colors will make a stunning wedding. Love all the tables.. Your settings were all gorgeous, it would have been hard to chose. xo marlis
ReplyDeleteAll the settings are beautiful, but my favorite is the first one...the green just pops right out against the white.
ReplyDeleteAs if tablescaping wasn't enough fun in an of itself, but you've been able to take it to the next level! What a fun way to take part in the wedding preparations! I like their final decision! It's going to be so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you shared their choice! I've been following along like a soap opera LOL! I think they are very lucky to have someone as talented as you to help them visualize their ideas. I'm sure the reception will be gorgeous!
