As mentioned yesterday, I've been busy getting organized for our Canadian Thanksgiving coming up on October 11th. I want to have the tablescape all planned out so I can concentrate on the meal and hopefully, some visiting too. Here is what I think I am going with unless I get another brain wave (and time to "play") in the days ahead.
Of course, I am linking up to Between Naps on The Porch for Tablescape Thursday.
Unless I've just gotten some new dishes, my tablescapes usually start with the centerpiece.
This one was inspired by this fall floral ring
I got at the Thrift Store for $3.
I added 2 hurricanes with candles and
a glass vase with some faux Gerber daisies.
Next, I try to pick out the dishes
for the place settings. (Alas, nothing new)
Here, I used my orange plates with
a mix of some green and some yellow salad plates
on top of my woven-look chargers.
Amber stemware and gold-look flatware were added.

A glitter pumpkin with a name tag and
raffia ribbon marks the place settings.
Faux leaves were tucked in the napkin rings.

Each guest will have individual votives and
salt and pepper shakers at their place.

An angled view
A dark brown tablecloth grounds
the bright fall colours.
Gold runner and placemats complete the look.

On each side of the centerpiece, I placed a pumpkin under glass, a Global Fusion (Partylite) votive holder and a pumpkin shaped tureen (TSC years ago).
And now for some night time drama....
Above, is a shelf on the wall next to the dining table. I've decorated it with scarecrows and votives.
