With that in mind, I created a red and white Valentine's tablescape to share with you.
I started with a trio of faux florals as a centerpiece.
I rounded up all the red & white faux florals and heart picks that I had and tucked them in these lacy pots I got a few years back. (Ikea)
They were each placed on a large square white plate surrounded by strings of pearl beads.
Two silver candlestick holders were added in between the arrangements.
Lace trimmed red plates were topped with paper doily name tags as placecards.
I used my white birdie napkin rings.
Simple wine glasses for stemware.
Individual candle holders were set at each place setting. Three of this kind...
...and three of these red ones.
Little red hearts were hung from the chandelier.
A white tablecloth is topped with red runners laying criss-cross across the table.
The view towards the living room.
The snow banks outside the window make for a cozy setting inside.
What are your plans to celebrate LOVE on Valentine's Day?
Thanks for visiting!

This is beautiful! I've always enjoyed seeing your tablescapes over the years! Thank you for sharing your creativity!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, simply beautiful Lori. You have done it again, you have proved my theory that you are the most talented lady in blogland. The balance of red to white is about perfect, your eyes travel happily across this tablescape enjoying every inch of it's beauty. Not overdone at all, and not extravagant either - just simply beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI just used my lacy white pots yesterday for the miniature daffodils that I am forcing, they are up about four inches high. I may have to find another home for the daffodils and "borrow" your idea for Valentine's Day. I usually use primrose for the V-Day table, I buy them at Home Depot for 99 cents each, but this year they look terrible at my HD store.
I will get into my faux flower stash and see what I can come up with. Thanks again for the wonderful inspiration..... Candy

I have admired the ikea plates and vases for a few years, but I can't have it all.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I have never before seen the red plates with white trim. Can you tell me the manufacturer and pattern name?
Hello Lori, I love all the beautiful detail in your Valentine tablescape - I will be featuring your post in this week's A Return to Loveliness,
