Can you believe Mother's Day is only 3 weeks away?!! With that in mind, I thought I'd share my recent lemon themed tablescape which I think would be perfect for a Mother's Day brunch or luncheon.
I love using lemons in my decor at this time of year. They are just so bright and cheery - perfect for spring!
I've combined the lemons with tulips to make a terrific spring centerpiece even if they are of the faux variety.
This place is set for my mom and I'm excited to be able to share the day with her this year.
I found this lemon patterned table runner and matching napkins on Amazon last year and it provided inspiration for the colour scheme for the table. I chose to put the runner on a light green tablecloth.
I tucked the cloth napkin into a little bowl on top of the plate stack and added a faux lemon.
By now, you might know I like a lot of layering for my place settings and this time I began with two placemats; a white cloth one and a round woven hyacinth one.
Those were topped with a white/gold charger, a green dinner plate and a yellow salad plate.
My green handled flatware coordinated well with the colours.
Lemon water was served in these clear glass goblets.
I made these lemon shaped placecards on my computer using Clipart and taped them onto the faux lemons.
Here, I tried adding a faux tulip to the placecard arrangement for an extra embellishment.
Next, let's look at the elements that make up the centerpiece.
It is comprised of three faux tulip arrangements in basket-like tote bags set on top of white plates. Faux lemons were scattered throughout the length of the table.
The tote bags are actually ceramic vases which I scored recently during a clearance sale at Home Hardware. This is a large one which I filled with faux tulips, greenery and lemons...
Green coloured tealight candleholders were placed in between the tulip arrangements.
These were also set on top of small white plates for a cohesive effect.
Now that I've got a tablescape in mind, I'm excited to start planning a luncheon menu that we can enjoy while seated here!
Will you be having a get-together for Mother's Day?
Thanks for visiting!
Love, love 🍋 themes. I will be decorating soon for the month of May also. My kitchen was recently renovated & now I have white cabinets. It should look so fresh & Springy. Making a curtain to match.
