September has flown by and this week will see October's arrival which means fall is definitely underway.
To me, this season is all about creating a cozy atmosphere in my home to enjoy as we gradually spend more and more time indoors.
This "Fall in Love" sign was my inspiration for a cozy little table for two I put together next to our front windows.
It was the perfect spot to eat our meals while enjoying the outdoor view.
I created this centerpiece for the side of our table using faux leaf stems and floral picks in a woven type vase. Next to it, I placed two gold pumpkins on risers and the Fall in Love sign.
A trio of amber coloured tealight holders and scattered faux leaves were arranged down the center of the table.
The place settings began with a round woven placemat and a gold charger. These were topped with an orange dinner plate and green salad plate along with these leaf bowls I've had for ages but still love bringing out each fall.
I tied a leaf-shaped place card to a little faux pumpkin with raffia and tucked it in the bowls.
These plaid cloth napkins with gold napkin rings coordinated well with the colours on the table.
By adding my copper flatware, I created a mixed metal look to the table.
Amber coloured stemware also went well with the decor.
A burlap table runner was placed atop a white tablecloth to act as a more neutral backdrop to the vibrant foliage.
Here's a look at an evening meal we enjoyed while dining at this little table for two.
I added some string lights to the centerpiece for a bit of nighttime drama.
Tossed green salad was served in the leaf bowls...
...and we had homemade margarita pizza as our entree rounded out with a few glasses of red wine. :)
As daylight hours become less and the weather becomes cooler, it is so nice to be able to enjoy the inside of our homes...
...and setting up a cozy table for two definitely helps with that.

Lori, this would be a delightful setting for a cozy dinner for two. The mix of textures and colors really salutes fall days. The centerpiece is lovely, and I like the idea of adding string lights. I have some but I rarely think to use them!
