Summer Bathroom Decor

Of course, you know I love creating different tablescapes inspired by the seasons but along with that, I also enjoy changing up accessories in various  rooms to reflect the season.

I read somewhere that it is important that your bathroom reflect your decorating style as it is often the only room your guests get to "take it all in", in private.

A trio of cylinder vases filled with sand, shells, beads, grasses and votives placed on one side of the counter help to add a beach feel to the space.

At the other end of the counter, I've placed a shell tealight holder beside a wire container filled with facecloths, small towels, shells and a starfish.

A closer look at the shell tealight holder.

(I like the flame's reflection in the granite)

I have a love/hate relationship with this faucet. While I like it's "cool" factor with being able to see the water flow from the top, I don't like being able to see the water deposits which build up on it.  I can't imagine how awful it would be if you lived somewhere with hard water.

A good way to make your Kleenex box a bit more decorative is to put it in a basket and add some faux greenery in front.

I'd love to have some shelves put in over the toilet but towel space is limited so I've kept it this way for now.

I like to keep the wall décor very neutral so that it coordinates easily with whatever seasonal décor I add to the space.

These decorative pieces are from Sears online and look like metal but are actually a very lightweight resin.  That made them very easy to hang in multiple places.

I converted this garage-sale-find large "fruit holder" into a decorative towel stand just by adding towels and some accessories.
(It sits beside the tub/shower)

It's hard to get a picture of such a small room so I hope you can visualize the space.
(Also hard to capture the true wall colour)

Do you put out any seasonal décor in your bathroom?

  6. The be achy accents are so fun. I like that you infused the room with not only imagery from the sea but also bits of blue to channel sea and sky. Lovely.

  7. I also really like your coastal decorating influence. I found some fun hand towels at Home Goods that have shells and the color is perfect for my bathroom, wishing I would have brought them home.

What about a combination of shelves & towel bar?

  9. Oh, I think your bathroom counter-scape is just lovely! I had never gotten too much into the "beachy scene" until this summer after taking a little vacay over to the CA coast. We live in AZ, you know all that desert and heat, so I got kind of super-charged about adding some beachiness to our home, especially after discovering a wonderful little shell shop in Morro Bay. I really like the little pops of pretty blues that you have in your bathroom. I do a lot of turquoise in my guest room and bath -- looks perfect with some shells, and just makes me happy!

  10. Can I ask you to share a link of the Lightweight resin wall accents? I've looked all through Sears Online, and I can't find anything. Or where I could find something similar? Please and thank you!
