Christmas in Teal Blue

Every now and then, I like to go a little "non-traditional" in my Christmas décor colours but only in small doses.

Often, I find a tablescape is the perfect way to introduce a different look that
I'm not sure I want ALL OVER the house.
As such, this year, I chose to go with a
"Christmas in Teal Blue" theme for my table.

So, while I love the wintry white of Christmas...

...I'm also enjoying the pop of bold colour with it.

The inspiration for this dramatic colour came from this fabulous sequined table runner which was a gift from a co-worker.

Place settings began with teal coloured placemats and napkins topped by white plates.

Aqua toned glass bowls with faux ice chunks hold a Christmas ball for a placecard.

A side view

I got these silver Christmas tree candles last year during a clearance sale.
They are wrapped up as favours.

A large hurricane vase is filled with a white pillar candle and teal Christmas ornaments. A green wreath and coordinating poinsettias are placed around the bottom.  Sequined cone trees flank the vase.  Together, they combine to create a dramatic centerpiece.

A trio of floating candles add a warm glow inside  blue mosaic glass bowls.

Snowflakes are hung from the chandelier for fun.

By adding a few teal coloured ornaments to the buffet décor, it is coordinated with the tablescape.

The teal and white tablescape adds drama to the dining room both by day and...

 ...by night.

Have you chosen any non-traditional colours for your Christmas décor this year?

 Thanks for visiting!

Hope you've enjoyed my Christmas in Teal Blue Tablescape!
 One more thing...
Special thanks to Judy at DIY by Design for featuring my Rustic Christmas Mantel post last week! I am honoured to be chosen from amongst so many talented entries!
